Susan Pfleeger MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Susan Pfleeger was co-founder of the Torrey Pines HS Scholarship Fund (formerly Dollars for Scholars) which she began in 1987. There is not much that Susan has not done for this organization, in the late ‘80s she peddled hot dogs at the annual TP College Night, she sold student directories like a fair vendor at back-to-school night almost every year since 1990, she was known to drive around Del Mar delivering our senior grad signs and every year she supported her own scholarship in honor of her parents. Susan helped with years of fundraising amounting to over $1M in scholarship dollars for this organization. 

Susan was a retired educator/ teacher who was a committed community leader. She was a phenomenon, an absolute force of nature who has shaped her community and made a difference in giving of her time to others. It takes just one person to have a profound ripple effect, one person to connect and inspire.  In our organization, that person was the talented and passionate, Susan Pfleeger.  She will be missed. 100% of all memorial donations will be put towards yearly scholarships in Susan’s name.
